My frizzy hair can best be described as a wavy thatched roof… well it’s been years since it’s looked like that.

My first experience with the “Brazilian” was only about 2 years ago… and all I could say at the time was WOW. My hair was smooth with very little blow drying and no spending hours ironing either.

The end result was incredible… unfortunately the experience was nothing short of a ‘mare’.

Not quite sure what to expect, I settled in with my kindle (which is my usual routine at the salon, as it’s my peace and quiet time away from my pre-school twins) and started a good book.

That didn’t last long, and in no time I was spluttering and coughing and my eyes were watering so much I almost lost a contact lens!

Fast forward a year (Note; I decided I wasn’t too keen to do the Brazilian again), I then tried the Smoothing Gel. It smelt amazing, it’s vegan so none of that awful formaldehyde and not one cough and no tears. What a difference 😁 πŸ€πŸŒΏπŸ’š

So, in using the 72 Hair products I have become a huge advocate and about how important it is to NOT put chemicals in or on your body and hair.

Remember that Wine is a fruit πŸ˜‰ 🍷

I think the first obvious difference between the two products is the ingredient formaldehyde. What is formaldehyde? Well, the official description according to Wikipedia is;

“Formaldehyde is a naturally occurring organic compound with the formula CHβ‚‚O. The pure compound is a colourless gas that polymerises spontaneously. It is the simplest of the aldehydes. The common name of this substance comes from its similarity and relation to formic acid.”

A more common use would be preserving expired bodies in the morgue… I know, right!

The next BIG difference for me would be the actual application of the product, and vegan products are definitely a “no more tears” option. They smell better and you don’t feel like you’re surrounded by a dark mist.

At the end of the day it’s all about opinion and what you choose to use is personal. For me, it’s natural and vegan all the way.

You should try it… and you can thank me later πŸ˜‰
